The Pontiff's accusers say that the words and actions of Pope Francis amount to a comprehensive rejection of Catholic teaching on marriage and sexual activity, on the moral law, and on grace and the forgiveness of sins.
"Lord, sustain and increase this state of shame and repentance and give us the strength to commit ourselves so that these things never happen again and justice may be done.”
The instinct would, understandably, be to pull back and close in on ourselves but that would give in to those behind such attacks, who want separation, mistrust and fear.
