The crypt under St Michan’s was broken into in February and vandalised, and the head of the 800-year-old mummy known as ‘the Crusader’ was stolen along with another skull.
Archbishop Michael Jackson thanked the Gardaí and everyone else who had worked tirelessly to recover items stolen from St Michan’s Church.
Archbishop Jackson thanked the community for their support asked that they keep an eye out in case the head of the Crusader has been dumped.
