The event was organised by the Focolare Movement, inspired by Jesus’ prayer to the Father, “May they all be one”.

It is “unbelievable that these persecuted Christians who come from the cradle of Christianity are being told there is no room at the inn, when the UK is offering a welcome to Islamists who persecute Christians.”
The excavation is taking place inside the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, the most holy place in all of Christianity.
