Bishop of Derry speaks out on baptism and pilgrimage under COVID-19 norms

The bishop said he was unclear whether parishes can actually have the baptism before the party. He went on to explain that he is not sure whether the legal restrictions have changed or if further clarification is forthcoming.

Call to Pray at 3 p.m. today

Ireland’s Church leaders are calling on the faithful of all denominations to join in prayer from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. today.

The initiative is in response to the absence of normal Palm Sunday liturgies because of the ban on public communal worship during this stage of the COVID-19 pandemic.
