As the two friends were walking together along the road, a third person joined them. Someone unknown to them. The friends were amazed that this person seemed not to know about recent events. Then the third person revealed his true identity and the friends realised who it was – Jesus. The presence of Jesus and his powerful words cheered up the two friends and with a more upbeat and positive outlook they were able to face the road ahead.
The same is true for us, but we need to be open to Jesus and to allow him into our lives. We need to believe in the power of Jesus to transform our lives today.
Risen Lord, allow me to be truly open to you. Take me, consume me, that I may be yours forever.
