Meditation is said to improve the attention span of young children whilst also increasing their self esteem. It is important to take time out to think, reflect or even just use our imaginations, and this is important for children too.

This doesn’t have to be a long process or time consuming, why not try putting on some calm instrumental music and asking the child or children to close their eyes and imagine being on a beach, walking along and meeting Jesus! If you use your imagination, they will too!
