How much does a baptism cost?
Nothing.
The Church is welcoming you or your child into the community, it would be strange to charge for this.
It is customary to make an offering, something to help with church expenses such as heating and lighting.
Some parishes will give you a clue as to the appropriate amount.
Traditionally baptism celebrations are fairly low key, tea and cakes back home, so expenses shouldn’t be a worry.
