4TH CENTENARY OF THE DEATH OF ST CAMILLUS DE LELLIS.
This year marks the 4th centenary of the death of St Camillus De Lellis patron saint of the sick. The members of the order based in Ireland invited his Eminence Cardinal Braz de Aviz head of the congregation for religious life to celebrate mass at St Camillus Kilucan Co Westmeath. The order has been based in Ireland since 1935. Four years ago the order brought the heart of St Camillus to Ireland where it was venerated by over 40,000 people. The Cardinal arrived in Ireland on Friday 11th July and departed for Rome on Sunday aftrnoon.
