How God sees us

Cyrano de Bergerac was a man with an unusually large nose and this became the dominant feature of the way he saw himself. He was a very noble person but because of his slight blemish he could not accept the love of Roxanne even though he craved for it. At the end of the story, when Roxanne has developed a profound love for him, one feels like saying, 'Would you forget about your nose and accept her love, and all the life and happiness that it will bring you.' However, Cyrano is unable to believe in her love for him and so he dies a very sad and lonely man.

…It is vital that we learn to take the narrow and more difficult road to 'life' through our belief in the way Jesus sees us.
